Abstract The depth of the reservoir causes an increase in degree uncertainty prediction quality. High frequency is suppressed with because Earth functions as a low-pass filter. seismic amplitudes observed at various interfaces are influenced by spherical divergence, transmission losses, mode conversions, and inter-bed multiples. Seismic data have numerous essential components that must be thoroughly examined during hydrocarbon prospect identification maturation, including post-critical reflections, events coherency (in near far offsets), conversion, interbed typically derived from 2D/3D utilized directly or indirectly for interpretation better subtle geological geophysical information. To accurately depict subsurface features, stratigraphic architecture, facies, it should used conjunction existing paleoenvironment data. When employed alone, may lead to erroneous lithologies inaccurate property predictions. Understanding these factors could help interpreters make use while maturing de-risking prospectivity. This study examines post-drill characterization two exploratory wells were drilled deep-water area Cauvery Basin, East Coast India.
